In an effort to support smallholder livestock farmers, particularly women in this sector, I, along with the Abuja Women Livestock Farmers Association (Awlfa Nigeria), have engaged with the Economic Services of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (FMWASD) to explore potential collaboration and partnership aimed at advancing the interests of women livestock farmers in Nigeria. We firmly believe in the importance of the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Program, which, if given the necessary focus and resources, could significantly empower women and generate income for their households.
